Where and When:  October 30, 2015 at Community Mediation. Full Day 8:30am – 4:30pm

Program Description
The Conflict Coaching model owes its success in the workplace to the integration of two effective approaches: the development and performance management of coaching with the sustainable problem solving of mediation. Individuals learn skills for dealing with difficult people and situations, teams move towards collaboration, and managers and senior staff gain those conflict management skills which are a hallmark of leadership. Conflict coaching is often used for Performance Improvement Plans and other types of ‘last chance’ interventions.

This workshop provides the basics for applying the Conflict Coaching model in the workplace as a skill for internal staff, such as HR and managers, as well as a service provided by consultants, through exercises, examples and active discussion:
– Diagnosing a conflict coaching need
– Setting goals and developing a plan of action
– Integrating 360 input, confidentiality
– Using assessments and other tools of the trade
– Addressing organizational culture and systems

Some training or experience in mediation, conflict management, or employee relations is helpful, but not required.

Follow-up instruction for participants is available for those wishing to develop a Conflict Coaching practice, and for those who wish to add Conflict Coaching to their skill set for their organization.
Who would benefit from this Workshop?
– HR and OD
– Managers and Supervisors
– Project and Team Leaders
– Employee Relations Professionals
– Coaches and consultants
