The Charles Pillsbury Peacemaker Award is named in honor of Charles A. Pillsbury, currently Co-Director of the Center on Dispute Resolution at The Quinnipiac School of Law and prior Executive Director of CM. Charlie is known throughout this community for his tireless work promoting peace, justice and conflict resolution. This year we pay tribute to: Bruce Barrett, IWagePeace for promoting peace in the community.
Bruce graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1985 with a B.S. in Applied History and Industrial Management.
While building the family billboard business he learned about peace making. In 2006 he created the www.IWagePeace.Org website as a primer on active non-violent peacemaking. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the National Religious Campaign Against Torture in Washington, D.C. as treasurer.
An Award Ceremony and viewing of “The Billboard from Bethlehem” will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at The New Haven Lawn Club, 193 Whitney Ave, New Haven starting at 5:30 p.m. After the event from 6:30-8:00 pm we will have a viewing and discussion of “The Billboard From Bethlehem”
