2016 Robert C. Zampano Award Reception

In 1993, CM’s Board of Directors established The Honorable Robert C. Zampano Award for Excellence in Mediation in honor of, and now in memory of, the late United States District Court Judge Robert C. Zampano, a pioneer in mediation and alternative dispute resolution. This award recognizes and celebrates leadership, initiative and creativity in mediation in Connecticut. This year CM recognize Peter Benner, Esq. at an Award Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Shipman & Goodwin LLP, One Constitution Plaza, Hartford, CT at 6:00 p.m.

Peter Benner began practice as a full-time mediator and arbitrator in 2010, following 27 years with Shipman & Goodwin LLP in Hartford, concentrating in the commercial healthcare litigation fields. He now works as an independent neutral, trainer, consultant and teacher and serves on the Healthcare Panel of the American Arbitration Association and the Resolvers Panel of the American Health Lawyers Association. Peter speaks and publishes regularly on conflict resolution issues and will be teaching Healthcare Dispute Resolution as an adjunct professor at the Quinnipiac University School of Law. He is former Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and for Chair for six years of the Grievance Committee of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
